One year ago today, I adopted Melba. Querido and I had found her a week before crossing a big busy intersection. She was in poor shape: dirty, ill-fed, and carrying ticks. We fed her, cleaned her up, and embarked on the messy process of incorporating a dog into our lives.
One year, two “mildly cancerous” growths, three bottles of Nature’s Miracle, and umpteen naps later, Melba is a happy girl. She is *my* happy girl, my fuzzy friend, and I don’t know what I’d do without her.
Happy one year, Melba.

Melba is so cute:) Thanks for rescuing her.
I couldn’t leave her at the pound!

Aww, what a cute, happy pup! So glad she was able to find a terrific forever home. 🙂
