Today I a one whole year older, and to celebrate, I am spending the day doing my favorite things with my favorite people. Of all the un-ordinary days of the year, birthdays are the least ordinary, and as much as I love my profession, staring at a computer is just not how I celebrate being alive.

The cake will be peppermint chocolate chip ice cream pie 😉
