New Year, Old Projects

Wooden spinning wheel bobbin filled with pink, purple, and orange singles dyed by Almas Whitton

Welcome to the new Gregorian year, dear readers. During these last wisps of cold, cloudy weather in Phoenix I have been listening to my winter music: Of Monsters and Men Beneath the Skin and Handsome Furs Sound Kapital.

I have a few gift knits on the needles, but mostly I’m working on my stack of UFOs. Spinning always feels like a winter activity to me so finish this bobbin of fiber from Almas of Witchcraftylady was a perfect fit. The second bobbin is a tiny blep of purple on the wheel and I am already a little sad thinking of this project being over. I’m trying to cheer myself up thinking about knitting it up into an Royal Icing shawl!

What music and making is getting you through the start of the year?
