While you wait for me to muster up the courage and concentration to rip out my Holla Back tank, let me present you with a FO.
Above you see a Nautie, whipped up fast out of stash yarn for a baby’s christening. Big batches of yarn stay in the stash forever, but single skeins of anything machine-washable are gone in a flash. I love knitting for little ones.

Cute! I often think I will knit toys, but I think I’ve only done it once.
I heartily recommend the Nautie pattern! One of the things that turns me off certain toy patterns is knitting a gazillion little pieces and having to sew them together at the end. Nautie has only two pieces, plus knitted-on tentacles, and the coiled shell is addictive.
