Today Arizona is experiencing weather that people in other parts of the country will agree is truly cold. Never one to waste a sweater opportunity, I pulled out my Velma sweater.

Now that I’ve woken up a bit more, I’m doubting the wisdom of that choice. The sweater was designed in 2002, and I knit it in the bulky-weight yarn called for by the designer. All-over ribbing and a generous turtleneck add to the volume of the yarn, and now I’m really worried that I’m going to look like I’m wearing a tea cozy all day.
